The Energy Efficiency Global Forum (EE Global) was established in 2007 to “promote the efficient use of energy worldwide through sharing best practices and unifying the public and private sectors.”

Over the last 12 years, EE Global has served this role, drawing together business executives, government leaders, and advocates from across sectors and continents for discussions that have resulted in meaningful and lasting impacts:

  • In 2009, a member of EU parliament called for a policy-focused EE organization in Europe, resulting in formation of the European Alliance to Save Energy.
  • In 2012, an EE Global-hosted energy efficiency makeover of the U.S. Ambassador to Belgium’s residence resulted in a sweep of makeovers across Europe.
  • In 2018, a pre-conference workshop sparked a series of discussions that led to the formation of the Energy Efficiency Global Alliance.

The convening power of the EE Global Forum provides an ideal vehicle for helping to address the increasingly urgent global climate challenge, and spurred the formation of the EE Global Alliance.

The EEGA meets annually at the EE Global Forum to discuss global energy efficiency needs and opportunities, and to coordinate action.  Find out more about the Forum by visiting https://eeglobalforum.org/agenda/
